The typical TOGY day runs from 10am-4pm every Saturday, and is designed to be allow all students to take classes in all three performance disciplines as well as provide time to work on major projects, whether that be plays, masterclasses, musicals or exams.

Typical ages for our groups are

Juniors (10am-1pm) - 5-11 years old
Intermediates (10am-4pm) - 12-15 years old
Seniors (10am-4pm) - 16+ years old

Pay structure

TOGY is very competitively priced as we are very aware that finance should not have implications on the quality of a young persons education. We would advise any parents to explore other alternative groups operating in the area, for what we offer, the quality of teaching staff, the price of lessons and the length of day, we are unbeatable.

Seniors/Inters - £14 a week/£50 a month/£140 a term
Juniors - £10 a week/£35 a month/£95 a term

Although we also teach other important theatre skills such as writing and directing, TOGY has three main practical elements.
Act

ACT

It's not about crying, screaming, shouting or pulling angry faces. It's not about walking with a believable limp or talking with an accent. It's not about being funny and it's certainly not about being serious. Its the one art you can never be caught doing, its acting.
An actor has to burn on the inside, with an ease on the outside- Michael Checkov

Sing

SING

Musical theatre is ironically a place where most performers start, when really it is a culmination of all other performing art forms. It is the pinacle of vocal technique, creative acting and physical discipline. Most people think they do it well whilst actually doing long term damage, or have little awareness of the many different styles of singing which are demanded from the performer, its singing.
If you can't teach me to fly, then teach me to sing - James Matthew Barrie

Dance

DANCE

I'm going to be an actor, I don't need to dance. I only want to sing, whats the point? No matter what you do, you'll still use your body. A healthy body is a healthy voice. How do you expect to play Hamlet if you haven't got the strength to fight or the stamina to perform eight shows a week? How can you be a singer without rhythm, timing and support ? Even Jean Claude Van Damme studied ballet over kickboxing, It's dance. .
It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer - Shanna LaFleur
