THE LORD OF THE FLIES
This year TOGY tackled its first full cast, full length play 'The Lord of the Flies'. Performed at Wrekin College's 'Centenary Theatre' by two casts over four shows, this was TOGYs most ambitious project to date. The complexity of the text and dark themes which run thoughout the story provided a piece that the cast could really 'get their teeth into'. Using naturalism, music and stylised movement this chillingly dark piece was brought to life in July 2009.Director - Matt Rozier
Assistant Director - Ben Paul
Technicals - CJ Allen and Millie Corser
PIPPIN
Performed at Oakengates Theatre, Pippin is a musical from the writer of 'Wicked', set in the 13th Century around the court of King Charlemagne of France. A full cast coming of age tale which resonates across the generations, this heart racing, twist a minute musical was rocketed into the 21st century by our cast with themes of love, loss and martyrdom.Directors - Jody Tranter and Matt Rozier
Vocals - Christine Sjoelander
Choreographer - Ami Mills
Musical Director - Ben
A MEMORY OF WATER
This fantastic production of Shelagh Stephensons 1990s classic was staged at the Madeley Court Theatre. Three sisters come to terms with the loss of their mother, forcing them to confront each other, death itself and their own self betrayls. A tragi-comedy in the truest sense of the word, 'Memory' was a joy to stage and a gift to work on.Directed by Jody Tranter
GODSPELL
Stephen Schwartz's cult 70s rock musical 'Godspell' was staged to sell out audiences at Oakengates theatre. Consisting of several of Jesus' parables told to a circus of players, we accompany our 'clown' hero from baptism through to crucifixion. Using theatrical styles such as 'Epic' theatre TOGY transformed the usual telling of the musical into a manic, highly physical extravanganza.Assistant Director - Jody Tranter
Vocals - Christine Sjoelander
Choreographer - Ami Mills
Musical Director - Ben

FOUNDERS DAY
Our next major project will be Founder's Day on January 9th 2010. Held on an annual basis, Founder's Day gives us the opportunity to hold our awards ceremony as well as to remember our founders Bette and Florence Holt. After the awards ceremony there will be a performance revue, giving the young people the opportunity to show everyone what they have been working on over the summer months.
