Florence Upton HoltMarshall Griffin (The National Theatre, The Globe Theatre, Frantic Assembly, Colchester Mercury Theatre, Nominated 'Best Actor in a Leading Role in the Manchester Evening News Awards, Bolton Octagon)

Marshall fresh from a national tour of 'Othello' with Frantic Assembly came for the day to deliver a six hour masterclass on physicality. We looked at moving the body through space, contact improvisation, safety, building energy, states of tension and finally the students all created some devised work in the 'Frantic' mould.

Ex-student Eleanor came back for the day to deliver dance classes, then in the afternoon she chaired a talk onher time at Mountview Theatre Arts. Itwas a fantastic opportunity for the students looking to audition to have a Q and A with someone experiencing the drama school system currently.

Professional playwright Patrick joined us for the day in delivering a day of drama classes. He concentrated on improvisation, physicality and comedy.

 

 

Louise Papillon (Oliver Original Cast, Acting Tutor at the Birmingham School of Acting)

Tutor at Birmingham School of Acting, Lou took a day of masterclasses looking at physicality and the Stanislavksi technique. Students were taken through a range of Qi Gong exercises then concentrated on looking at the magic 'as if', obstacles and objectives.
